Rope installation method

For Single Wheel Pulley Block, the rope is generally passed through the groove of the pulley. If it is a double-wheeled pulley or a multi-wheeled pulley, the rope should be wound correctly according to the force-saving principle of the pulley block. Generally speaking, one end of the rope is fixed at a fixed point (e.g. frame, beam, etc.) and then wound around each pulley in a certain order. For example, in a two-wheeled pulley set, one end of the rope is fixed to the frame, then wrapped around the movable pulley first, then the fixed pulley, and finally the tension is applied at the free end.

When winding the rope, make sure that the rope enters completely into the groove of the pulley, and that no rope jumps out of the groove of the pulley. Because if the rope jumps out of the pulley groove, the rope will be easily worn out during the lifting process, and it will lead to uneven distribution of the tension force, which may even cause damage to the pulley or fall of the object.

Lifting operation

Before lifting, check the installation of the pulley and the winding of the rope again. Make sure that all connections are firm and reliable. At the same time, check the lifting equipment (e.g. crane, winch, etc.) to ensure its normal operation.

When you start lifting, apply tension slowly and observe whether the object can rise smoothly. If the object is found to be tilted or the skid is shaking abnormally, stop lifting immediately and check the reason. In the process of lifting, control the lifting speed, not too fast. Especially for some easy to damage objects, such as precision instruments, etc., to be more careful lifting.

Maintenance and storage after use

After use, check the pulley. Check whether the rotation of the pulley is flexible and whether the rope is worn out. If the pulley rotation is not flexible, it may be because the bearing of the pulley is damaged or there are debris inside the pulley, which needs to be cleaned or replaced in time.

For the rope, minor wear and tear can be repaired, such as tape winding and other methods. But if the wear is severe, the rope needs to be replaced. At the same time, it is necessary to clean the dust, oil and other impurities on the pulley, and store it in a dry, ventilated place to prevent the pulley from rusting or being corroded.
