Webbing sling lightweight, soft, high safety factor, long service life, non-conductive, no danger of electric shock, good resistance to corrosion and other advantages, is gradually replacing wire rope rigging and chain sling rigging.
1. When using, hang the sling directly into the center of the hook, not directly on the tip of the hook. When two slings are used at the same time, the two slings are hung directly into the double hooks, and each of the two slings is hung in the symmetrical center of force of the double hooks, as shown in figure a.
2. When four slings are used, each two slings are hung directly into the double hooks, and attention is paid to the fact that the two slings in the hooks should not overlap or squeeze each other, and the four slings should be symmetrically located in the center of force of the hooks, as shown in Figure a.
3. Two slings lifting and four slings lifting, length error in no special requirements, the nominal length of the allowable deviation should not exceed the provisions of the standard sling.
4. Calculation coefficients for lifting angle and ultimate working load of multi-limb slings are shown in Fig. b & c and Table 1.
Any set of lifting strap must be test lifted before use before lifting. Selection of lifting point should be on the same plumb line as the center of gravity of the lifting weight.
The sling and both end loops and metal fittings must have sufficient radius of curvature.
During use, it is forbidden to tie or connect the sling with knotting method, and special connectors should be used to connect the sling.
The angle between two corresponding spreaders α | Vertical Angle Clip Angle β | Ultimate working load calculation coefficient
Number of single slings
Two | Four | ||
α≤90° | β≤45° | 1.4 | 2.1 |
90°<α≤120° | 45°<β≤60° | 1.00 | 1.5 |
It is not allowed to connect the soft ring with any device which may cause damage to it. The hanging device connected by the soft ring should be smooth, without any sharp edges, and its size and shape should not tear the sling seam.
Do not allow the sling to be knotted or twisted, and do not allow the sling to hang the load for too long.
Do not allow goods with sharp corners and edges to be carried on a sling without a sheath.
The sling shall not be withdrawn from the load when the load is resting on the sling.
If the sling is used in abnormal conditions such as high temperatures or lifting chemicals, it shall be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and recommendations.
After the sling has become soiled or has been used in an environment with a tendency to acids or alkalis, it should be rinsed off immediately with cool water.
The slings should be stored in conditions protected from light and ultraviolet radiation and should not be stored near open flames or other sources of heat.
In the course of use, one of the following conditions should be scrapped:
The webbing (including protective cover) is severely worn, perforated, cut or torn.
The load-bearing seams are bloomed and the seams are worn out.
Fiber softening, aging, less elastic, weakened strength.
Fiber surface is rough and easy to peel off.
Dead knots appear.
Excessive surface pitting, corrosion, acid and alkali burns, and heat melting or scorching.
The warning line with the red warning line sling is exposed.
